Imago Mundi – the International Journal for the History of Cartography
Founded in 1935, the journal ‘Imago Mundi’ publishes innovative, interdisciplinary, and peer-reviewed research on the history of maps and mapmaking.
Published twice per year, its articles communicate cutting-edge research, interrogate methodological and conceptual questions, and discuss prescient issues, through long- and shorter-form articles, book and exhibition reviews, and multi-author fora, all with the aim of advancing pedagogy, increasing public impact, and forging connections between researchers, collectors, dealers, librarians, and archivists.
Peer Review Policy
All full-length research articles published in this journal have undergone rigorous double-anonymous peer review in the normal manner: by initial editorial screening and by at least two anonymous referees, for whom the author also remains anonymous.
